Pietrasanta is known as a world center of artistic working of marble and bronze: it attracts in its laboratories and foundries artists all over the world.

Many of them (among them Igor Mitoraj, Jean Michel Folon, Fernando Botero, Pietro Cascella, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Joan Miro) have donated their works to the city.

Wandering the streets of the center, on every corner there are works by renowned sculptors of international renown; Pietrasanta fully deserves the title of city of artists.
